🚀 ABOUT NETRA

We are a developer and operator of battery energy storage systems (BESS), backed by Hexa.

Netra was founded Alexis Hervieu-Cause and Sandro Matola Steffanetti, both repeat founders that started their careers in Consulting.

On one side, we develop battery projects from the ground up. On the other, we are building a commercialisation platform for energy storage capacity. We pool our battery projects, alongside third-party assets. Each battery is represented by a digital twin, and algorithmic dispatch optimises how capacity is allocated across the pool.

Today, a battery owner has to find, negotiate and contract with a single optimiser. With Netra, they simply join the pool. On the other side, a range of offtakers, from optimisers to longer-term offtakers, gives the pool a stronger revenue profile than any single asset could reach alone.

Netra creates value on both sides of the market:

• For buyers: flexible access to a larger, diversified source of capacity, effectively available "off the shelf".
• For asset owners: diversified revenue streams and less reliance on a single counterparty, which increase both asset value and bankability.

🧩 THE PLATFORM

Architecture not fully defined yet. The platform stands on three layers:

• Telemetry & digital twins. What we build: a live digital twin of every battery in the pool, whether Netra's or a third party's, whatever the vendor. Under the hood: vendor-agnostic protocol adapters (Modbus, IEC 61850, vendor APIs) normalise EMS/BMS data into a single internal schema, with streaming ingestion into a time-series store. This is the hardest and most vendor-specific pillar, and most of the reliability work sits here. New vendors are onboarded by writing an adapter, not by touching core logic.
• Pool & dispatch. What we build: the engine that decides what each MWh in the pool is committed to and gets paid for. Under the hood:
  • a Virtual Battery Ledger that tracks capacity committed to offtakers versus capacity free for merchant use, across all sites, in real time;
  • a short-term capacity auction engine;
  • billing and settlement that attributes revenue fairly to each asset owner.
• Market & API. What we build: one door for buyers and one for asset owners. Under the hood: a unified API gateway for optimisers and offtakers; market connectivity (RTE balancing mechanism, Enedis, EPEX SPOT, REMIT reporting); and an asset-owner dashboard with real-time dispatch visibility and revenue attribution. That dashboard is the transparency layer that makes third parties trust the pool.

Own Netra's technical vision and execution end to end, covering architecture, team and roadmap. Be the CEO's peer in building the company, taking the platform from its first pooled assets to a multi-market European flexibility pool.

📋 WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own the technical vision and strategy. Act as the CEO's and COO's day-to-day sparring partner on product, hiring, fundraising and company direction.
• Take full ownership of the platform architecture and turn today's design into a production system that onboards Netra's own batteries and third-party assets through the same path.
• Sequence the build intelligently. Harden the telemetry layer incrementally, starting with one or two battery vendors, while dispatch and market layers are developed against simulated data, so neither blocks the other.
